TOT-TASTIC

We get our bodies moving and grooving to the music. Imaginative activities like splashing in puddles, stomping like a dinosaur, creeping like a tiger, slithering like a snake and tip toeing quietly. Children can use their imagination and create their own movement patterns.

It’s fun for children to get to know different ways of moving. We practice simple stretching, twisting, turning and bending.

Walking, running, jumping and making use of balls, hoops and coloured scarves to mention just a few. Children start to relate to terms such as fast, slow, up and down within these activities. Simple obstacle courses are also laid out so the children can practise going ‘over, under, in, out, go through’ etc.

Children love playing games! The games focus on cognitive skills such as counting and recognising colours and shapes. Playing interactive games helps children develop social interaction, communication skills and motor development – all whilst having fun!
